I found the bellina seems much happier in moss in my conditions...everything else is in lava rock.

Very nice idea leafmite ----- as in 'real' upside-down growing ------ not upside down image hehehe.

I have seen some really beautiful bellinas mounted (Al's Orchid Greenhouse had a gorgeous one) and I really like the look of the leaves hanging down. I don't have the conditions to keep this happy mounted. I will be changing the moss later in the summer so I am going to adjust the plant a little. I grew this too long the other way so it will take a few years to get the right look.

It will adapt much more quickly than you anticipate LeafMite.

Taking a closer look at the bellina...the newer growth is bending even more downwards. Mine seems to like being an upside-down orchid. I am going to let it do what it wants.
