That's why Cattleya orchids are supposed to be pronounced catt-lee ----- with an 'arr' on the end.

Catt-Lee-Arr.

Some people used to (and maybe still do) say "cattle - lee - arr" ------ at least in Australia - which is understandable, but should really make the switch when eventually enlightened with the proper details. But of course - they don't necessarily have to (switch) ------- but at least making the switch means better educated in that particular area heheheh.
