HELP... Orchid impulse buying condition....*

yeah, houseplants are a true addiction, aren't they? i'm just recently getting into orchids, but have had plants for many years. my ex wife hated watering days (but, admittedly, i'm a sloppy waterer). sucks to have carpeting too, so i'm glad that most of europe does without it seems.
my problem is with ficus bonsai. i get one big plant and chop it down over a year or two into like 20 smaller trees. i've run out of people to give trees to, so i certainly don't need to keep buying orchids. but i can't help it!!!!
another problem i have is that my bedroom, which houses many plants, is also my workshop for working on guitars....which involves lots of sanding and dust....which means any time i want to sane on some wood or work, i spend about a half hour moving all the plants out of the room. oh the joys of hobbies in apartments

When I was in art school back in 1975, my roommate was a real back woods sort of guy who played and made mandolins by hand from scratch and he was always making a mess in our dorm room so i can relate. But you should have seen his mother of pearl inlays!

I am always asking people if they would like to adopt an orchid or two, between overbuying, then divisions and keikis my plants are outgrowing my window space!!
