Default going, going,....?

I have a vanda that recently started yellowing and dropping leaves from the bottom up. A local grower said it could be from exposure to cold. I keep them on my lanai, and it got down to 50 degrees about a month or so ago, then the leaf drop began. Is there any way to save the plant?. It looks like the keiki is ok (so far). Appreciate any help on this. Trying to attach photo, hope it works.

Wink

yellowing of leaves does happen and when one falls of it will set a new leaf growing. I don't have any Vandas yet but my Phals, Dens et. do get yellow leaves.
I don't think you have to much to worry about but maybe a Vanda expert might have more to add.

Yellowing and dropping of the bottom leaves on vandas is known here as the "palm-tree" effect. Don't worry about it.

I just remove them when it happens to any of mine, or you can just wait till they drop on their own...quite a few of my vandas look the same way.

I know of expert growers who have vandas that put out the most beautiful blooms with the plant looking very scraggly

Generally I wouldn't be concerned with leaf drop, but it has lost about 10 leaves in the past month. I've never seen that many drop in such a short time.
