I've read about that, and also the opposite. I'd be very interested in knowing if someone published research about it.

My Phal have being doing really well under the LEDs, which is a significantly brighter light than what they used to get.

My stuartiana is growing the 3rd spike of the year and first one under grow lights, I've been looking forward to that one to see how much it impacts blooms.

It probably depends how we’re each defining low and high light levels: we’d need to actually measure them. When I keep Phals in what I consider low light they either don’t flower or produce very few flowers. If I give them as much light exposure as they can take without burning, I get lots of flowers. In any case, lower light may impact flowering, but it won’t kill the plant while continued cold exposure could.

thanks all for the good advice- I ordered a 5' heat mat. All of my Phals. will go on that and it should help all of my warmer temp. orchids.
