Does anyone take part in the chat channel these days?

I don't think so. Probably defunct with the inability to update the software, which I believe our version isn't supported anymore. But that's just my non-techy understanding of it. I wouldn't even know how to go about using it. Maybe Camille would know.

Even before I became a member, and just lurked here, there was never anyone utilizing it. That would have been around 2004 or so.

Yeah, I used to wonder about it myself... many moons ago. I'll ask Camille if there's still a way to use it, and/or remove it depending on her answer. So thanks for asking.

I have used subject specific chatrooms in the past. They are better than sitting around waiting for responses, sometimes for days.
