Has anyone used microfiber with a vanda and if so, how is it used. I have a new Vanda Pachara Delight, with leaf length about 6 or 8 inches. I know of the vase method, Thanks E S and others. Can they be used together?

I have no place to hang orchids, nor to mount them, so looking for the best advice for a new vanda grower, my two seedlings that I put in S/H did not do will. I am attempting to revive them with kelpmax and spraying. putting into water for abt 30 min twice a day then into a vase. They both appear to have a bud growing below the tiny leaves, and I am hoping that is a root.

I am mainly wanting information on my new Vanda...

Plenty of people grow Vandas in pots with very large chunks of bark, scoria or LECA.

I don't know what you mean by microfiber. When I was a kid that meant an amazing brand new kind of fabric called polyester. It came in the most bizarre colors. It kept you hot in warm weather and cold in chilly weather. It formed little pills of fabric if you dried it at cotton heat.

what early is referring to I believe is an experimental growing method that has not been proven yet.

What it involves is having a Vanda that would generally need a lot of watering, tie a microfiber rope around a few roots and have the end suspended in a bucket of water.

Like this the vanda gets watered without the grower needing to water the plant.

I have not seen anyone use this method to succesfully flower a vanda but I have been curious if it would work.
