Help with seaweed extract
Default Help with seaweed extract

Hi all,

I’m looking for a product similar to Kelpmax but available in Canada. So far I have found the following product (link below) and am wondering if you guys think it looks like a suitable product for my orchids? It seems super concentrated so I’m a little scared to use it on my phal orchids, but it does state on the website that it can be used with houseplants. I’m completely new at this stuff so any help or insights are much appreciated.

There is a distributor of Kelpmax in Canada, I'm sure Ray will be on here soon enough to let you know.

C&C Orchids in Hamilton ON sells KelpMax. Look for them on Facebook.

The product you linked is more of a fertilizer than a growth stimulant like KelpMax.

Thank you! I did look into them, but I wasn’t sure how to order from them. I couldn’t find a website. Perhaps I need a Facebook account?

I'll contact them and ask how a non-FB person can reach them. Stay tuned.

Just ordered a bottle from C&C. Thanks again, Ray! I’m curious- can I also use KelpMax on my African Violets? If so, what would be a good dosage?

Yes, It can be used on all plants. In fact, until I made it available, I don't think it's use on orchids was common at all. It is mostly used by farms and landscapers.
