So here is an angraecum sesquipedalae (hybrid, 75% A.s. genes) and a wilsonara (I forget the exact hybrid name, I think pacific something) and both have been in flower now for nearly a month. Both flowers got much larger after opening, and in fact, that wilsonara flower nearly doubled in size after opening - went from like 2 inches to nearly 4 across. The A.s. is like 6 across.

The wilsonara is in half bark and half sphagnum though honestly it drinks so much I think it would prefer full sphagnum. The angraecum is in a phal mix with spagnum on top to keep up humidity. Both have great foliage. The A gets eastern sun, about 3 hours of direct, 3000+ footcandle light. The W gets about, now in fall, 2 hours of 5000+ footcandle afternoon light. In the summer it took 4-5 hours of 5000+ footcandles without burning. It has 4 flowers now and will likely put out more. I have noticed that oncidium types like to put out a starter flower stalk from the top of the bulb and then will flower more fully later from the sides.

The A gets watered weekly and the wilsonara is soaked 2-3 times weekly.

Well done! Where do you live? Grow them outdoors or in greenhouse or the house or???

I grow all of my orchids, and I have 80, in an apartment in Philadelphia. I have a corner apartment that faces south-east and then west. So in the winter and summer I get strong sun. I get some eastern light to as the sun comes up. I have found that humidity is not super necessary. I grow several cloud forest orchids successfully with humidity levels below 50%.
