First Fall Buds!!! I did it!! Female
Default First Fall Buds!!! I did it!!

This was my first summer growing orchids the "right way", meaning the correct amount of full sun!! I have buds emerging from my Laelia Tenebrosa and Brassavola nodosa 'Panama Soire'. Apologies if I incorrectly mispelled their names. I am just excited that I've finally managed to correctly grow and bloom something other than a phal.
Which I also managed to rebloom.
Happy Blooming!

Congratulations! So glad you finally solved the problem of not getting your Catts to bloom. I have been enjoying my B. nodosa's fragrance each night this past week. So happy you will soon enjoy yours as well as some other pretty blooms!

Do you see buds inside the sheath of your tenebrosa?

Tenebrosas bloom in lat spring / summer.
From what I know, the sheath at this time must be empty (I'm assuming the sheath is fairly recent) and will be sitting there for months until you can see buds.

I have been growing one of this species for almost 4 years but it never bloomed (it was just a small plant when I got it). Now, finally, it has a sheath. If everything goes well, I'm expecting blooms in some months.
