Default Medium for no ID Zygopetalum

Hi, I received a no ID zygopetalum, that has now just finished flowering. It has two new growths coming that when mature will probably over hang the pot, therefore I would like to re-pot. However, I am a little confused on the potting medium to use after my reading watching vidoe's online. Some have suggested that 50:50 houseplant soil (potting soil): perlite (Perlag) as a better medium to use than orchid bark/moss mix. Does anyone have any ideas on the best medium to use or own experience with media.
