Vanda with whitish leaves/steam

Hi guys

This is my first Vanda but only when I got home I noticed it has some parts that are kinda white where it´s supposed to be green.Is this normal?

My climate is tropical (caribbean)

Hi jomtos,
yes the white patches I think you are referring to are calcium deposits if they get watered from above, they should wash off with a damp cloth. It is beneficial to wipe your plant anyway as these deposits and dust can reduce the plant receiving as much light

Pure lemon juice also works on hard water residue.
