show me a great 6" or maybe 8" phal pot?

honestly, i have a terrible time trying to find ONE great new pot for a phaleanopsis.

i'm going from a 4" pot. i believe a 6" or 8" would be good.

everything i find online either has little air flow or has a "cone" in the center, or is part of a set!

if you have a link to what i'm looking to purchase , please post it.

Commercial Phal growers tend to use plain plastic pots, Azalea type (not quite as deep as standard). The ones I have seen have from 6 to 12 holes in the bottom.

I am sure you can find it at Kelly's Korner, or one of the other orchid supplies vendors.

When you start going up in pot sizes for Phals, that cone in the center is necessary to ensure that the substrate dries out more evenly. You could try azalea pots as Kim suggested, otherwise bulb pans could be a good option as well. repotme has transparent 8" bulb pans for instance.

I put a small upturned pot in the bottom of a large pot, acts the same as an aircone.

I generally use these from Repotme.com for my phals. They come in six- and eight-inch sizes. I like that they are clear, and have slots on both the bottom and sides. There is a slight "rise" on the bottom, but I wouldn't call it a cone. If your phal is large and heavy, you may need a heavier outer "cache" pot to avoid tipping.

Back in the pre-Covid days when we used to have orchid shows we could go to, I have also bought pots from Roberts Flower Supply when they would have a vendors' booth, and they offer a variety of different kinds of pots.

ok, i found lots of nice pots, i guess for orchids!
i shoulda got a photo of the hollowed piece of driftwood, that was cool.

so, i’m starting to understand better.

btw, watering: i have never, almost a year, watered like a shower, where the whole plant gets a shower. i just drench the from pouring into and around the pot a few times.
should i use shower method?
