Hello all,

The picture speaks for itself.

It was fine a few days ago. Maybe a day ago unbeknownst to me it fell off its shelf (I hate the wind) and on to the ground and I found it like this today. I’m thinking it could be sunburn as I had the door open and it fell into the path of the morning sun. That said, I’m also considering rot.

Should I amputate?

I am extremely upset about this one.

Classic sunburn. Leave it alone. Eventually the dead parts will turn papery dry. This could take several months. If you cut now you will probably cut more than you need to.

I agree with ES... it got a bit toasted. It'll be ugly for awhile (until it grows some new sets of leaves and drops those) but will survive fine.
