Welcome to the orchid obsession! Your among friends and we've all done things that we can't believe.
Myself? I've killed more than one orchid simply out of ignorance.
Again- welcome to the orchid world!

On a lighter note, the two oncidium orchids I bought after the sharry baby, which is why I realized I cut a good flower spike lol, has blooms and buds is opening. They told me it will take a while. It only took a week. The first one is an Burr. Francine Roseglow and the second one is an Dgmra. Shibumi Purple Rain. It really made my day to see the first one opening up

I just aquired these two orchids as well!! My Francine Roseglow is doing well but my Purple Rain got root rot and is currently 'in hospital'. Trying to save it.
