I am envious, cluelessmidwesterner! Why Not was one of my very first orchids (three years ago) that I purchased from a hardware store. It is very healthy, but soooo far from blooming. I recently increased lighting, so maybe that will help. Will you tell me the fert and medium that you use?
Thanks so much, ROBB

Ctna. Why Not can bloom on a pretty small plant. So you could be pleasantly surprised sooner than you think. I doubt that fertilizer makes much difference. Mine gets very little of anything and blooms regularly. Light is important but doesn't need to be as bright as a standard Catt. And well drained medium. (If it has been 3 years, a repot the next time that new roots appear would probably be a good idea on general principles)

Its a beautiful bloom you must be very happy, I know I always am when something blooms.

Im on the lookout for a cross with Why Not, its a Cattleya Little Lemon Drops x Why Not.
Ive only seen it on a growers Youtube video but its a reliable beautiful bloom.
