disease in collection?

Hello All:
I've posted a few questions regarding this issue with specific plants but after a more through examination I am extreamly worried. I've posted as many pics as I can.
What am I dealing with here? I've invested a lot of time and money in building my collection.
Is this a fungus or virus? Its not snails or spider mites.

Something nibbled on the Cattleya. The others may have secondary damage after biting insects attacked, then left.

Fungus or bacteria can get in through the bites. Try to find out what causes those kinds of spots at the St Augustine Orchid Society disease Web page, and use the fungicide or bactericide appropriate for what you think you have.

If those spots are dried up and not spreading, then should be ok. But if the spots become more, or they grow in size, then some systematic treatment should be considered (eg. copper spray to try out first, or monterey garden phos, thiomyl etc).

Personally, I’d guess you’re dealing with acidovorax (pseudomonas bacterial) infection. It is fairly common and spreads rapidly, especially by splashing in a collection of plants in close proximity. It survives well in the growing environment, too.

The very first thing I’d try would be a general Physan treatment to reduce the overall pathogen load.
