Default Second blooms do look better...

Here are the flowers of the first (March) and second (Aug) blooms of Epicatarthron Hilo Adventure. I was disappointed in the very first bloom but both color and shape has improved on the second time around. Even the spots look better.

I've heard people mentioning this, but this was the first time I actually noticed the difference. Waiting pays (sometimes)!

Jeff ...... both sets of blooms look nice. I love the colour and patterns of those flowers in the pics.

Some individuality is nice --- as in the first bloom has its own character ! Love that.

Flower quality can vary a lot, depending primarily upon:
  • Plant condition
  • Light level
  • Ambient temperature
