Hi Friends,
Question: is it a life cycle shift when buds begin to grow, does the spike stop growing?
I did have that second bloom last (first) time, but it was well into/past blooming and grew its own branch from the spike.
I ask because if it doesn’t start soon I’ll need a taller lamp!

You better get a taller lamp! In my experience, the stalk will continue to grow and add buds even after the first buds flower, so you'll be in for quite a lot of height! :-D

Move your lamp a bit, or put it on a couple of dictionaries. Or a phone book or two. Not like we actually need to use them anymore.
