hi friends,
Normally my lamp for my phal is down by the leaves, but with the spike growing so tall I either have to move the lamp up higher reducing the amount of light received by the leaves and the rest of the plant or I can allow the spike to go past the light?
Hmm, my phals tend to grow towards the light (including the flower stalks) so I would probably just move the light up a bit? Otherwise you might end up with a weird bending stalk trying to stay under the light.
Thanks DrDawn.
I think I gotta find a second light.
Leaf coverage/light power decreases greatly the farther away. I wish they had this bulb in a more powerful version, that would perhaps solve it, for the leaves.
Not exactly a window. Here’s a pic, excuse the DIRTiness. :/
But you see the shadow on (dirty) lanai floor, it never reaches inside.
So, it’s a dirty glass lanai door! that the roof of lanai keeps it shaded.
I run that light 12hrs a day (7-7).
