Not sure if my orchids are rotting

Hello, I'm new to growing plants and orchids especially!
One of my orchid leaves fell off today and the other leave is beginning to brown on its edge. The phal or stem (not sure if I'm using the correct terms) are turning black with some damaged parts. When I touch it, nothing is mushy yet.

I also just inspected my roots and carefully removed the black mushy hollowed roots. (It was above my moss and it was about 2inches that I removed)
The flowers have fully bloomed since mid May and looking at it they look healthy.

First, Welcome!

Loss of an old leaf at the bottom is normal - force of nature. The plant looks good. Getting it into fresh moss was a very good move. (Phals don't seem to mind being repotted in bloom, and because they flowers can last so long, it's a really good thing to do shortly after you get it... you did well) I don't see anything worrisome in the photos. The fresh moss will help to head off anything that might have been developing.
