I'll add that I've had a cyrthorchis arcuata for one year now (seems a lot in my collection is that old but that was my pandemic impulse buying)

and I am a little surprised it isn't as bulletproof as I was expecting. It has grown stunted and the roots are not doing too well so I've moved it to receive more light.

It is now growing with my rhynchlaelia glauca and cattleya nobilior where I provide a lot of light.

I was growing it under 2000 foot candles but I think that was too little or it is still suffering stress but yeah not the bulletproof little orchid I had thought it would be so far.

I have a Cyrtorchis arcuata and Rhyncholaelia glauca, both are struggling. Can't get them to grow. Maybe I'll throw them in higher light and see what happens. I couldn't get either to survive with semi-hydro either, so now they're out bare root and in moss.

hey kat. The glauca really likes the light, that is slowly doing something. hope yours do ok. I have them under a 11watt led and they can go really close, the glauca is producing new roots so seems to like it, now for the waiting game with the arcuata
I don't know what I've done wrong but it only has 3 roots which don't look great so I think mine just needs to grow some new roots and that can take a long time with angraecums in my experience so will probably take a while with the cyrtorchis too.
