Sphag in a bag
Hi,
I thought I'd ask for some help with this method of restoring suffering/rootless plants. When I attempt doing this specifically on paphs and dendrobium canes all I generally end up with is fungus growing on the plant deteriorating it further and as such have never had any success, I accidentally bought a rootless P Insigne with around 8 growths that's now dwindled to 3 despite my best efforts.
I limit the initial moisture on the sphag and open for 10 mins every few days, do I need to be putting some anti-fungus spray or cinnamon/peroxide when starting off?
I know kelpmax is generally recommended to help with root stimulus but being in Aus would love to know a similar product here. Being in a dry climate this would be very useful to get working not just for suffering plants.
Thanks
