Looking for plastic containers for semi-hydro
Newbie here and about to do my 1st repotting & transition to semi-hydroponic using LECA. Looking for clear plastic containers that I can drill holes near, not on, the bottom. Any source you can recommend? Prefer not ugly jars with screw tops if possible.
Any other advice appreciated

If you want to dish out a few more dollars, try searching for a pack of clear plastic vases

Actually, I looked at those but thought 3.4" would be too narrow. Am I wrong?

Dollar Stores are a great source for various sizes and shapes. Also juice containers with the tops cut off. Deli dept. at your grocery store. Goodwill or other thrift shops when they open up.

Any plastic container will do and it does not have to be clear. I have used deli containers, food storage, small trash cans, disposable cups and glasses, even styrofoam coolers.
I recently bought a bunch of thick white buckets from ULINE - the quart size is about 5" diameter and the gallon is a fine 8" pot - I simply removed the handle.

Are you thinking that you will just use the outside part of the set? The self-watering pots are not really the same as Semi-Hydro.

Actually, just the outer part looks perfect even though I hate buying something to only use part of it. I'm really looking for a 5" or so clear plastic or maybe glass container. I'll need at-least 5 of them.

Thanks, the quart size looks close. I was hoping for clear but the price is hard to ignore.

If you like ice cream, you could use clear ice cream pots for this purpose for "free" kinda lol

Sorry to spam the thread, but there's also clear pots with holes in them on amazon, if you don't want to bother with drilling
