Ok first thank you all for the help I'm new lol
Please look at photo.
I have a newly repotted orchid about a month and a half. All was going great until my stand got knocked over. So I have 3 phalaenopsis that got knocked down all out of their pots on got leaves chewed off so needless to say I was horrified. I got them repotted for 2nd time but the one in question has a leave that's partially green and yellow. Do I just remove it? There is a new baby leaf sprouting out of the crown..so confused please help!!
Yes, it looks like the leaf is dying, but the green part is still connected to the crown and photosynthesizing. It will help the new leaf to leave the old one in place until it dies naturally. New growth is hopeful, your plant should survive and grow with good care.
What a relief I have be hovering over my 3 orchids since I found them on the floor! Thank u for the info that's what I kind of thought was happening. She's already lost a bottom leaf that sealed and fell of on its own..who knew plants could be so stressful lol
I would cut it off in case there is a chance of it spreading into the main plant. If it was knocked off of a shelf it could have gotten bruised and the damage could be from that. I would sprinkle cinnamon on the cut leaf after cutting it off.
