Fogger or humidifier?

I was wondering how best to get more humidity in my growing area. I live in a mobile home in Central Calif. All my plants are in an east facing extension that makes up part of the living room. Its measures about 12 x 8'. Should I go for a pond fogger or a whole house humidifier that uses a wick? Would the pond fogger humidify an area that big? First pic is facing east, second north, third south.

I like the idea of a whole house humidifier that uses a wick but I hear they can raise your heating bill.

Its dry enough my skin gets itchy. I don't know the exact number. I know when I've got the swamp or evaporative cooler on in the summer the plants flower better and I breath better. I've been having trouble with flowers drying out before they open when the heater is on during the winter months.

Nice growing area. I as well grow indoors and my humidity usually does not exceed 60% and I have about 140 orchids in an 8x8 breakfast nook. This is only my thoughts but seeing you have a cloth chair and couch, did not notice carpet but with the furniture alone I would imagine those 2 pieces would absorb the humidity like a wick. Not sure it would be feasible. Hopefully other members will chime in and give us their thoughts. I have wondered if my humidity is out of sorts, but my orchids do not look deprived. Not sure of the answer for you.

I doubt that an ultrasonic fogger intended for a pond would do much, unless it's one of the many-headed ones, as each transducer's output is actually quite small.

Ray is correct. The ultasonic Fogger only produces humidity for plants that are right next to it. If there is any kind of draft/slightest breeze it dissapates immediatley. Ive been monitoring mine for the last few days. It works alright for my display plants, but for them only.
