Getting humidity and airflow for indoor greenhouse

That would definitely be easier since then I could focus on keeping the greenhouse at 70% humidity as opposed to 80% humidity which will be a lot easier to accomplish I think. The greenhouse builder said that they could easily make a Four season greenhouse for us but I don’t think my husband is taking into consideration that we also need to insulate the floor of the greenhouse where we put it. I believe this is done by digging down into the Clay Below the frost point in the soil and adding some type of either insulation or Styrofoam to the walls of the hole. Then from the research that I’ve done that hole is then filled with gravel for drainage? And then plastic walkways are put on top of that inside the greenhouse. Our soil here is clay so it doesn’t drain very well. The temperatures here get to be about 96° in the summer and about 20° in the winter. Humidity is usually always around 25 to 30% outside and we don’t have strong winds Like the middle of the United States, but we do have some windy days I believe they reach up to 25 miles an hour at their peak. The most snow we got last year was 12 inches in a day and it usually only snows for 2 to 3 months out of the year, most of the time the snow doesn’t stick but when it does the maximum we get would be about 13 inches.

Keep it simple. Just bump out those windows with a frame and 3 or 5 wall polycarbonate for insulation - those window greenhouses can get very cold In the winter. Build some shelves into it. Install drip trays to catch excess water. You can put gravel or rocks in the trays and that will raise humidity in the area of the plants. Don’t worry about ventilation. If you can make a bigger greenhouse by cutting out the area between the windows, all the better. Get a room humidifier and you’re all set!
