Virtual Show Table
Hello all,
These are the orchids I would have brought to my local society show table. In spite of my society no longer meeting, I thought I would make a virtual show table. If you would like, you can add your virtual show table to this thread. If you want me to post close-ups of particular plants I have plenty of photos.
Below are two photos of my "Show Table".
I will do my best to describe each plant in some kind of order.
The first orchid on the left (the white Cattleya) is C. Snowflower "Waldor". It is a nice Claesiana hybrid.
The slipper next to C. Snowflower that is somewhat obfuscated is Paph. Supersuk x Eureka.
The next orchid to the right of the slipper and the C. Snowflower is Ctna. Ethel's Paradise. It is nicely fragrant and very compact for a Cattleya.
The tall red orchid above that is Miltonidium Red Brick Road or Bartley Schwarz. It is a nice fragrant intergeneric.
Below the Miltonidium is a white Dendrobium called Angel Baby. Den. Angel baby is one of my favorite orchids. The blooms are intensely fragrant like a crisp spring day and the plant stays very small.
Below Den. Angel Baby is a Vanda falcata hybrid called Vanda Blaupunkt. Vanda Blaupunkt is a hybrid of Vanda falcata and Vanda coerulescens. It has that beautiful Neofinetia fragrance but is a bit larger and sturdier.
The plant to the right and in the back of the Vanda is Zygopetalum maculatum.
In front of the Zygopetalum is a slipper species called Paph. delenatii. Paph. delenatii is supposed to be one of the only fragrant slippers but I haven’t noticed a fragrance.
Directly next to the delenatii is my favorite dendrobium which is Den. Pittero Gold “Diamond Ring”. It is orange with a beautiful white picotee.
Lastly, to the left of Pittero Gold I have a Phal. Schilleriana and a Cymbidum Mr. Prospector.
