Planting method for Brassavola cucullata
Default Planting method for Brassavola cucullata

I just received a small Brassavola cucullata and was wondering if I should leave it in a pot or plant it in a basket and mount it hanging upside down. The p-bulbs are about 12 - 14" long and don't stand upright. All of the pictures I see of this plant show it mounted upside down. If I leave it in a pot upright, will the plant just droop?
Thanks for sharing your ideas.

I have mine mounted on a piece of cork bark. That way it can hang any which way. It really seems to like it that way too!

Since it is a dryish grower, I would mount it and let it hang.It would need more frequent watering however.
