OB Support - Orchid Board

Become an Orchid Board Supporting Member

I have seen other favorite Forums go belly up without support when an administrator was no longer there.
(not saying this will happen here!!!)

It took me a while to figure out how to join, but I would love to see Orchid Board go on forever.

FYI how to join is on the bottom left of the home page

Hi Early! I decided to take a look into this a moment ago. For the home page --- top-left of the page, I can see a word that says 'REGISTER'.

I do notice the word 'REGISTER' doesn't appear to be a button, so might not be obvious that this region can be clicked-on with a mouse.

To make it super obvious ----- it could probably say (click on the word 'register' above to register).

Sorry SouthPark, I can not find the word register on the home page. Below is what I found and used to become a supporting member.

I guess what you mean by REGISTER, I must have figure out how to join as a member, which is free.

After checking out OB and falling in love, the bottom left just above the ads, on all pages is how to become a Forum Sponsor if that is a members choice or not.

Yes, and I later went on my chrome book when I am not a logged in member, and found the Register botton and clicked it for membership. I normally read OB on a laptop where I am a member.

Early, you're a member regardless of what device you're using. You're likely already "signed in" on once device, and on your chrome book you haven't logged in. Up at top left, above where SPark circled "register" there's a white box that says User Name. You type your user name (Early) in that box, then in the password white box you type in your password. Click on Log In button below, and it will sign you in on your chrome book.

The Register button is to register to be a member, but you only do it one time.

The Forum Sponsor, Donate Now and become a Forum Supporter a ways down that column, is where you sign up to donate money and become a Forum Supporter.

Thanks WW, I am lazy and intentionally don't sign in because when I wake up I read all the new post on chrome book because it is lightweight and easy. I then go to my already signed in to OB and reread the new ones and file the ones I want to keep. I use the c b as a 2nd computer to look up thing on the web that I might not know or want to look at photos that are on the web
because I am so new and want to learn.
I think learning Orchids and knowing I will never catch up with you all, might be more difficult to learn than becoming an RN after 3 yrs of education and years of nursing practice;
I admire all the knowledge you and the other Old Timers here on OB. but I am determined and will trudge on
