I received a dendrobium nobile hybrid last year. It finished flowering in September and started growing two new canes. The canes now have a terminal leaf and have produced new roots (couple of cm long for majority). I reduce watering (it went dry and old canes shrivelled so i gave a good soak and now only misting the roots) and putting it in my outdoor shed in the evening (live in UK) for it to experience cold night temps, before bringing back into the house under a grow light in a SE window. I just want to check that this is the correct thing to do? How long should i do this for if correct?
