How do I get my epidendrum to flower spike
Hi,
I've had this epidendrum 'white bird' for about a year now and it has not gotten any flowers. It grows like crazy, roots coming from everywhere and always growing new stems or stalks.(I'm not sure the tech term for them.) I don't know if it's to young or I am doing something wrong. Advice would be appreciated.
Thank you
Sorry about the pics..tried different ways of taking pics but could not get them up right. Any advice on this would also be appreciated.

looks a lot like my epidendrum radicans and if it similar it is both too small and not getting enough light
take it with a grain of salt as i am guessing based on another plant but mine approach 12-15" before they spike and they are a good bit darker in color which i believe is based on sun intake.
I grow mine almost in full sun

Thank you Dirty Coconuts and Ray for the advice. I have it in the brightest window of the house along with supplemental lighting but it gets moved around the shelf during watering days. I will try and keep it closest to the window. How much water should it get as I water it only after it drys out about once a week. I'm in Vegas and it's in moss that looks to wet when I water it. I kinda figured it was small since all the pics I see of them are much bigger, thought maybe it was a mini version..lol
Thanks again

Is there dirt/topsoil in the pot too or just moss? This species is a miracle at adapting but they are terrestrial so they enjoy some organic debris too. I’d mix up equal parts manure, peat and perlite(fine) and pot it in that.

Ok. From experience: It may be one of the newer shorter hybrids. High light, yes, but hold back severely on the water to get it to bloom. You're being way to good to it.

They are working in compact varieties. The leaves don't look right to be ellipticum. If you don't have one of those, you should find one.
