Azamax dosage.

Hello All,

I recently got azamax to deal with my spider mite issue. The only problem now is I don’t quite know how to use it.

The insert gives several different dosage options between .1 & .8% per gallon but it clear which dosage is for mites.

Which is dosage would be right for my problem? The pests are web making mites that seem to be harassing Dendrobium nobiles in particular.

Also, can I use it as a drench to pour into the media too and eliminate possible mites in the moss or bark? I would hate to have to repot everything because of the mites.

I've been using a NEEM oil mixed with a horticultural soap against red spider mites in my garden (not orchids) and on other pests on my orchids indoors - it's been quite successful if applied weekly for 3 or 4 weeks. Can't comment on the dosage you need though as we may have different formulas/concentrates. I also used it as a drench but I don't think it was very successful in chunky bark.

1-2 ounces per gallon for foliar treatment. I usually split the difference...

Thanks Ray. 1 ounce per gallon converts over to approx 7.5 milligram per litre.
