Paphiopedilum—Question about bud development

Hello folks,

Newbie here with new orchids.

I have a Paph. aka Lady Slipper that I purchased in bud.

Since I have never seen a Paph. except in pictures I am not sure if the differences in the movement of the actual bud are normal or if I am doing something wrong with light and watering.

Here are 2 pictures—one from the day it arrived from the vendor a week ago and the second one is from yesterday.

Is it normal for the bud to arch down and in towards the stem?
