Default Pre-mixed Fertilizer and Bark

I've been taking note of the products sold for orchids around me. One of the products I've seen is a Miracle-Gro brand orchid potting media. It was a mixture of bark, fine peat, and "continuous release fertilizer," and natural material from the orchid's mountain environment. It claimed to be for all orchid types.

Has any one heard of or used this media before?

Hello,
I am curious as to what the "natural material" is.

hmm Ive never heard of that. I can't seem to find it on google either.

Miracle grow may be good for short term purposes, like annuals, but I don't know about orchids. I would think that the fertiliser would make the soil contain lots of salts and minerals.

I will do some more looking There are so many new orchids products out there arent they!

Monkey and bird poop? Oooh inquiring minds want to know!

Seriously, I've not heard spectacular reviews of this stuff. Having peat in it would be enough to make me steer clear.

Miracle Grow does make a potting soil for orchids. Sell this at the Depot, never took time to read the material on the back but after looking at it, not for me. I think it is developed for ground orchids.
