Would like to know the cause of the leaf discoloration on this orchid. Possible bacterial infection? Photo 4 shows the underside of the leaf.
Treatment?

It could just be a leaf dying a natural death. Is it the lowest leaf on an older fan?

Yep, normal leaf drop. No worries.

Your plant certainly appears to be in very good shape Fran. It's ok to just let the leaf drop off all by itself. In some cases - after a long enough amount of time - a leaf might still stay very weakly attached, in which case the slightest weak movement of the leaf would make it detach.

Thanks for the encouragement, SouthPark. This is my very first paphiopedilum and I was unfamiliar with what is normal with their leaf coloring.

You're most welcome Fran. Nice clear good size photos too. And great shot of the flower spike and big flower bud.
