Default Mold on my orchid

Hi,

I have noticed a mold on my orchid.

Is repoting the best solution to help him survive?

It might need a repot. Mold usually appears when the medium is decaying.
What medium is inside the pot?

This following link was just written in general for orchid care. Maybe some of the details can help with keeping your orchid in good shape.

"Phal abuse ends here" follow up ?

Good air movement cuts down on fungal growth on the plant. And pots that are not transparent can cut down on algae growth in the pot.

Do you have enough air movement? I'd let it dry out for a few days. If it is still white you can remove the top media, but it should clear up. Just don't leave it cold and wet for too long otherwise mold will take foot.

Also are your spikes done? Do you want to trim them?

I moved my orchid to my bedroom and Im pretty sure there is not enough air movement. I will move it to living room.

Yes, there are done. I trimed all dried parts but after a few months all green spikes dried as well. Should I trim the rest?

I'm sure it's a good idea if the pot has soil in it.
By soil I mean..difficult to explain for me. Search google for"soil" and you'll see what I mean.

Ohhh silly me.

Its not like typical soil but its not like orchid compost with the wood pieces. Its more like small artificial grains? Its difficult to explain and I cant find any pictures. I cant even find this kind of compost as well so Im wondering if I can use different style for it?

Thank you so much for helping me!

Never cut a spike on a Phalaenopsis until it turns brown. That often rebloom on the same spike.
