Rhyncattleanthe Dick Smith - Is it vigorous grower?
I just a Rhyncattleanthe Dick Smith 'Paradise' Better-gro Bag orchid. It had a new growth on it but had several of its pbulbs buried. Examining it the roots we in rough shape (few and no active growing tips at all). it was extremely over potted for what few roots were present. I've salvaged what roots felt firm. The pbulbs are shriveled which could be a combination of few roots and not being water since God was a boy. The new growth had tried to start new roots before I purchased it but they were aborted because of the dry conditions it was kept. I've potted it up with leca in a 4" terra-cotta with a 1" terra-cotta pot inverted in the bottom to act as a make-shift air cone.
My questions are 1. is this cross a vigorous grower if given better conditions and 2. Does this cross have a branching root system?
