This could mean one of a few things:
Best would be that it can bloom twice a year... that would be a bonus.

Or... it was grown in the southern hemisphere and imported for the show.

Or... it had its seasons messed with by the grower manipulating light and temperature so that it would bloom for the show. (That's done with Phalaenopsis and Poinsettias all the time)

Either of the last two options could make it skip a blooming season... if it doesn't faithfully rebloom at this time next year, be patient with it because it will straighten itself out eventually.

For what it's worth, the grower told me that this oncidium hybrid can bloom more than once a year. (I'm hoping that's the case!)

Whatever mine are, they’re spiking right now.

For my first one: Year 1 = I killed ALL the roots, Year 2 = I repotted it, Year 3 = I realized it hadn’t grown any roots into the pot and repotted in into a Vanda basket lined with shade cloth and filled with small bark, End of Year 3 = lots of roots and a big spike.

Orchids can be incredibly resilient!
