Bulbophyllum phalaenopsis with sunburn or something else?
Hello all,
I was recently watering my orchids when I noticed one of my more prized species, a Bulbophyllum phalaenopsis had some kind of leaf damage.
At first glance, it looks like only sunburn but the underside of the leaf has a darker wet/transparent spot that I am finding disturbing as it reminds me of erwinia.
I have attached photos of both the top side of the leaf and the underside with the watery looking patch.
For some bit of context, this particular leaf was accidentally pressed against the polycarbonate panel in the greenhouse for a few days and I do know that polycarbonate panels (much like a magnifying glass) can and do burn plants pressed close against them if the sun is shining on the panel.
Note, in the last photo, I sprayed the plant with physan.
