Default My phal seems to be doing strange things

I recently posted a picture of my phal Brother Spring Dancer and it's acting weird (at least compared to my other phals).
The lowest leaf started to go limp, and then a second. I wasn't worried. Now a third one is going limp which too me is one leaf too many! I checked the roots, they are fine and healthy. It's in a clear pot, so I water when the roots start to become silvery. Maybe it doesn't have enough water since it's doing half a million things at once? I'm so afraid of overwatering. The other strange thing is that it started a leaf, and is now starting another one even though the first one is not done growing! I thought they came one by one. That's what my other phals do.
Is this normal phal behavior?

In your other thread about this little charm you said it has been blooming for an extended amount of time. If the rooting system looks good, your watering regimen has not changed for the better of the plant, I would think that it's tired and needs to rest after this blooming. I as well have a DTPS. Newberry parfit piccote x Fajens Fireworks _Miami has been in every ending bloom for almost a year, today I cut off the stalk because I now have 3 leaves that are like what you described. Just my 2 cents. If another member has other thoughts please reply, I might be going down the wrong side of the road...

I agree with Cheryl. It may just need a little rest. Also, some of my phals lose a lower leaf as soon as a new one starts. One phal, that's growing a new leaf right now, is in the process of losing 2 lower leafs at once. And it happened practically overnight! And a few of mine are growing 2 new leaves at once just like yours. It seems like the ones that are doing it for me are the mini phals. I don't know if that helps you or not but it just goes to show that they all have their own little "personalities".

Hi Camille. My thoughts would be along the lines of the others. It seems to have been working pretty hard. You might consider a little more water and fertilizer. Phals can take more damp conditions than some other orchids, and since you can see the roots, its easy to tell if they are stressed at all. They could probably stay fairly green, and still be ok. Just my 3 cents (inflation).
