I use a liquid root simulator (4-10-3 ferti-lome). I don't think the humidity in the greenhouse is that high so I will try the bag method. What is an effective way to wrap the roots around the pole without them breaking? Thanks for all of the help.

hey kraken, as mentioned be very sparing with any ferts, even root stimulators, go with a weaker dose than recommended for other plants.

Otherwise just focus on the plants getting some roots first.

I can see you are focussing on the ornamental aspect too much - that can come later - for now I would even remove the pole as it is purely ornamental but that's me personally.

Later on the plant will only need to be placed next to the pole and if you keep the pole moist the roots will wrap themselves around it
