Yeppers, Sommeil. The only problem... if it burns, you won't know until it's a done deal. Err on the side of caution. If it does, eh... you'll know. And won't be the end of the world if you catch it quickly.
As far as starting to get that suntan look (reddish, purple-ish, etc) that's a slow process, not a fast one, and gives you time to react.
Didn't know you had a shade cloth... still looks pretty bright to go from inside to outside this time of year. I'd still shade it a bit more than the weakly hydrangea for the moment. Plant that thing, for Pete's Sake!

How about this?! They dont call me Mcguiver for nothing! They dont actually call me that. But I guess it'll get the job done. Suprising what you can do with leftover shade cloth, staples and bamboo.
I would plant the hydrangeas, but I'm still only renting a house right now, so I'm just keeping it potted
Apparently it's very possible.

Also, I placed my catasetums out there too since their AOS sheets recommend similar conditions during their growth phase.

The shade tent will do the trick and I'm sure they'll be very happy in the GA heat and humidity.
BTW - If you're going to be renting for awhile yet, you could always just pot up the hydrangea in a good sized pot for the patio. I got some tiny freebie PeeGees from the Arbor Foundation (for our yearly donation) a few years ago and have been growing them in a pot on the patio ever since and they have done beautifully. They even survived the winter of 2017/2018 when they were turned into a giant ice cube. Literally, they were in a block of ice and I thought I would lose them...but they survived. Just an idea.

I appreciate it!
My girlfriend has been telling me I should repot them, but I was reluctant to since I didn't want to stress them out before they bloom. But now that I'm certain they wont this year, I may as well.

Katrina beat me to the punch! Was just gonna say... Well for PeteSake, at least plant it in a pot! LOL... I can imagine already the roots circling round in that poor pot. Costco has some great big pots for $15 if ya have one near you.
The shade cloth... Excellent! Exactly the sort of thing I do. Would show you my thrift store sheer curtain setup from this spring, complete with PVC pipe fittings, but can't find it. (Which lasted just long enough to do its job, then blew away with a strong storm. All salvaged for a do-over next spring. )

Haha thanks guys!
I'll be sure to plant them in a pot soon~
Much appreciated though! Now I just need to take care of my babies and hope for some blooms! I've wanted a V. Pachara Delight for the last 5 years and now I have the opportunity to bloom one. I'm so happy! I just hope I dont have to wait another 5 years to see results
