Default phal.delmonte

Hi my name is Nancy I live in Michigan. I've been trying to figure out what to do with the new growth on my orchid. It was a gift and I was pleased when it started growing new leaves at the top but now what?:

That is a keiki, or a new baby phal. You can just seperate it from the old plant and put it in some bark mix and you will have an additional plant! Generally you should wait until the roots are long enough (at least 3" I believe), and your roots seem to be long enough.

Hi Nancy! Welcome to Orchid Board! I like your phal, very cute! Where in Michigan are you located? Do you have any other orchids?
