Hi guys. I am so excited cause I got one of my vandas blooming! Maybe it doesn’t have the most beautiful huge flowers but it’s her first time blooming at home. Had it for about eight months. But it has those three leaves really droopy on the right side. It seems like the plant is doing pretty well. It’s growing new roots and leaves seem to have nice turgor except for those three. What’s wrong with it? Thanks
Probably nothing, unless you're simply underwatering it.
These plants are slow-growing "vines", and loss of lower leaves is to be expected.
Thank you Ray. I water it daily by soaking roots in basin of water for at least 40 minutes. I thought that would be sufficient? And judging by the look of all new roots popping out I thought she was quite happy. Maybe you are right and she is just dropping older leaves but they aren’t yellow (at least not yet ), just droopy.
Confirmed that there is nothing wrong with it and that the loss of the lower leaves are normal behavior unless it is being underwatered or if it is being kept too cold.
