Looking for club / society Rochester NY

I’m new to this forum from Macedon,NY, near Rochester and am wondering if there are orchid clubs / societies in this area that anyone knows of.

Here is a link from the American Orchid Society of affiliated societies in the state of New York. There are a lot of them, so, hopefully, one or two are close to you.

Joyce, I urge you to try again. Make sure you are on the correct website, the American Orchid Society, aos.org. On their home page, if you scroll down, you will see a place that says "Affiliated Societies, Find Local Society." Click on that, and it brings up a page where you have to give it your country and then your state. Then hit "Search," and it will bring up eleven different societies in New York, including the Genesee Region Society linked by SaraJean above, which is in Rochester and probably very close and convenient for you.

I believe joining an orchid society is a great way for a beginner to learn and enjoy the company of others who love orchids. Also, the American Orchid Society, again at aos.org, contains a wealth of information for beginners. Just click on the "All About Orchids" tab from the home page. Best of luck to you.
