Phal. KS Happy Eagle sequential? Flower trigger?

I'm having a really hard time finding any details on the culture of this hybrid. Is it a sequential bloomer? I mean, what is the blooming habit? Does it continue to bloom on old inflorescences like the summer bloomers or is it a one and (mostly) done like the complex commercial hybrids?

Does anyone know what triggers blooming for these guys? Decreasing temps, increasing temps, daylength?

I'm also interested in anyone's other experiences with this hybrid or its parents. The photos of the flowers really caught eye so I bought one but the inflorescence was cut off! (It's still green.)

A lot of these so called "novelty" Phal are sumer bloomers, and are often sequential bloomers.

I did a search for it, and some of my favorite vendors have it. They describe it as a summer blooming plant, flowering sequentially for 6 weeks up to 3 months.

As to the trigger for summer blooming Phals, I'm not 100% certain about this but think it's also temperature related. Instead of needing a period of somewhat cooler temperature like the winter blooming Phals, they respond to warm temperatures. The magnitude of change needed is smaller than the cold triggered Phals, since summer bloomers come from species originating close to the equator, with less climate variation. I don't think you specifically need to do anything to get it to flower. I never have and my summer Phals never have any trouble flowering.

This hybrid is a sequential bloomer and primarily it will bloom during the warm seasons (spring through summer). Healthy, fully mature plants can hold 2 - 3+ flowers open at a time, sometimes many more than that. Older plants can rebloom on the previous seasons' spikes, so don't cut them off until they die off naturally.

I'm not certain what the specific triggers, but I suspect it's a combination of warm temperatures and longer day lengths. Although it can be expected to bloom most heavily in the height of summer, it may begin blooming in spring, and it could bloom sporadically at almost any time of year, depending on your growing conditions.
