So, I just received my Ang. Sesqu. today. Very excited!
I've done all the research and searched the forum for similar posts because, well, I have the same question everyone has about Angraecums.
It arrived in a 6.5" plastic pot, and the medium looks pretty old. There's sphagnum and some bark and some perlite(?) in there.
I see no sign of active root growth, but I think I need to repot this plant or I'm inviting root rot. I grow outdoors only in rainy SoFlo and I tend to be a heavy waterer.
My plan is to soak the plant in KelpMax and move it to a 8 or 10" wood slat basket with course bark and some sphagnum strands woven through where hopefully it can grow forever.
Does this seem viable? Is there any part of this that is objectionable?
Pics below because I love it already. I would love any feedback you may have about its visible health or lack of health. It's bigger than I expected!
