Default Good orchids for orb "terrariums"?

I went to the Amherst Orchid Society show recently and bought a couple of mini orchids. Since my windowsill and shelves are pretty well filled up, I also bought a couple of hanging glass teardrop-shaped orbs, thinking I could hang them in the window area and keep my minis in there. But on researching it a little, I don't think what I bought would work well-- a Leptotes bicolor and a Laelia briegeri.

Does anyone have experience using these hanging glass orbs? Any suggestions for what might work well in them?

I haven't used them, but I have seen orchids growing in them. Any of the small Pleurothallids would be good. (If you can find Lepanthes calodictyon, it has beautiful mottled leaves, with bright red flower in the middle...) something like that which is attractive when not in bloom is great. Also any of the "jewel orchids" -again, with beautiful leaves, should do well in that environment.
