Default "Extended Moisture" Mounted Tolumnia

Tolumnia Jairak Flyer $20 Delivered

This is my “guinea pig” plant for “Extended Moisture Mounting” – it is mounted on a cedar plank to which LECA pellets are glued. It is rooted and the blossoms are on the way out at this point. The plank is approximately 12″ tall x 7″ wide, and will accommodate the plant for many years to come.

It has done really well outdoors in the heat, humidity and sunshine, but I don’t have a good way to care for it over the winter.

Shame I just got my stuff. I’d have grabbed this for sure.

That took to the mount well! Pretty good proof of concept

More surface area and more volume to absorb water.

Thumbs up Tolumnias in LECA

I'm growing Tolumnias in the clay pellets in small clay pots in my greenhouse. They get watered every 2-3 days and seem to be very happy.
